MEN: While I am passionate about helping men in specific ministry and interest areas as outlined below, I have a heart for men in general. Having waited until I was 27 to get married and with over 20 years of marriage under my belt, I know what it means to be single, what it means to be married but unfortunately, I haven’t always known how to be content in all circumstances. The Lord has had to do some painful work in my life in order for that to happen. Today, as the husband and father of an amazingly blessed family, I want to help other men experience the freedom I now enjoy.
DADS: As the Father of three children, I know how challenging it can be. After being a workaholic Dad on the mission field I have had the privilege of concentrating on being a Dad over the past six years. I don’t have all of the answers but I have a good many and a heart to walk along beside you and your kids.
MINISTERS: Minister of Youth, Minister of Music…. you name it and I’ve probably done it at one time or another during my 25+ years of ministry. I know that being in the ministry can be one of the most challenging experiences in the world. You want you life to make a difference… so why is it so hard so much of the time? This package is designed for men who want to experience the freedom to be everything God has called them to be in the area of ministry.
MISSIONARIES: I can still remember the thrill of stepping off of that airplane into a foreign country for the first time, excited about God’s call to international missions. Though I didn’t pay much attention to it then, I remember someone telling me that if something bugs you in the States, it will bufallo you on the missions field. Another asked me if I knew anything about spiritual warfare. When I said yes, he assured me that I would need it. Sadly, I had no idea what the next 10 years of my life would bring. Though outwardly successful, I often struggled in my personal life. Even though I grew up on the mission field (West Africa) and served on the mission field as an adult (Latin America), my passion for coaching missionaries comes from a place far deeper still. It is the conviction that I would still be on the mission field had I had access to a good Christian Coach. I would like to help others successfully fulfill the Great Comission call. I love the fact that since coaching sessions normally take place over the phone, geography is not a barrier.
MUSICIANS: As a professional Christian musician myself (I have a Master’s degree in music and a great deal of music publications), I know the heartbeat of a worship leader and/or Christian musician. Ours can be a complicated world of passions, talents, worship styles and personalities. It is no wonder that Satan often attacks the practitioners of this most excellent gift that Martin Luther declared deserving of the highest praise next to the Word of God. I would like to help others experience freedom from those minefields as they excercise their gifts to God’s glory and for the edification of His church.
COMPOSERS: I am amazed at how often the Bible exhorts us to sing to the Lord “a new song.” (Does He sometimes get as tired of the oldy goldies as we do?) With two degrees in music composition and numerous publications, I love helping Christian composers experience the freedom to follow that biblical mandate.
